Countfit AI (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Countfit AI mobile app, companion website countfit.app, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

Information We Collect

We collect the minimum necessary information to operate and improve the Service:

• Account Data — email address if you create an account.
• Usage Data — basic analytics like app version, search queries, and crash reports.
• Uploaded Content — if you choose to log photos, we temporarily process them to extract nutrition info but do not sell or share them.

Health Data (HealthKit / CareKit)

Countfit AI integrates with Apple’s HealthKit framework to support your fitness and nutrition goals. Health data is used strictly to provide personalized insights and progress tracking within the app.

• We may request permission to read step count, calories burned, workouts, and weight from HealthKit if you grant access.
• This information is used only inside the app to calculate calorie targets, display daily and weekly progress, and adjust recommendations.
• Health data is stored locally on your device. If you enable account backup, limited data may also be stored securely in Firebase.
• Health data is never shared with third parties, advertisers, or analytics providers, and is never sold.
• HealthKit and CareKit data are not used for marketing, advertising, profiling, or data mining.
• You can revoke HealthKit permissions at any time in the Health app or in your iOS device settings.

How We Use Your Information

We only use your data to:

• Provide and improve the app experience.
• Process nutrition searches and AI photo logging.
• Authenticate users via Firebase (email, Apple, or Google login).
• Maintain security, prevent abuse, and debug issues.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is securely stored using Google Firebase and Google Cloud services located in the European Union and United States. We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest.

Third-Party Services

We rely on trusted third-party providers:

• Firebase — authentication, database, and storage.
• FatSecret API — nutrition and calorie data.
• Google Cloud — secure proxying of FatSecret API requests.

Subscriptions & Payments

Countfit AI offers auto-renewable subscriptions:

• Titles: Countfit Pro Monthly, Countfit Pro Yearly
• Length: 1 month or 12 months, depending on plan
• Price: Displayed clearly in the app and in the App Store purchase confirmation
• Payment: Charged to your Apple ID account upon confirmation of purchase
• Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Cancellation: You can manage or cancel subscriptions anytime in your App Store account settings

Your Privacy Rights

Under GDPR, CCPA, and similar regulations, you have the right to:

• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
